How to Tell If An Egg Has Gone Bad!!

Knowing whether an egg is still good is easy if you use these simple checks:
1️⃣ The Float Test (Most Popular Method)
Fill a bowl or glass with cold water and gently place the egg inside.
🟢 Sinks & lays flat on its side → Very fresh
🟡 Sinks but stands upright → Still safe, but older (use soon)
🔴 Floats to the top → Throw it away
Why? As eggs age, air enters through the shell, making them more buoyant.
2️⃣ The Smell Test (Most Reliable)
Crack the egg into a bowl.
🟢 No smell → Safe
🔴 Strong sulfur or rotten smell → Bad
A bad egg smells very obvious — trust your nose.
3️⃣ Visual Check After Cracking
Look at the egg:
🟢 Firm yolk, thick white → Fresh
🟡 Slightly runny white → Older but usable
🔴 Discolored yolk, cloudy green/black tones → Discard
4️⃣ Check the Expiration Date
Eggs can often last 3–5 weeks in the fridge if stored properly (in their carton, not on the door).
