Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Chuck Roast
🛒 Ingredients (5 total)
1.5–2 kg (3–4 lb) beef chuck roast
4 tbsp butter, melted
5–6 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet onion soup mix
1 cup beef broth
👩🍳 Instructions
Prep the roast
Place the beef chuck roast into your slow cooker.
Make the garlic butter
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic.
Pour & season
Pour the garlic butter over the roast.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly on top.
Add liquid
Pour the beef broth around the sides of the roast (not directly on top so seasoning stays put).
Cook low & slow
Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or
HIGH for 4–6 hours
Until the beef is tender and easily shreddable.
Serve
Slice or shred the beef and spoon the rich juices over the top.
🍽️ Serving Ideas
Mashed potatoes
Rice or couscous
Roasted vegetables
Crusty bread (to soak up that garlic butter sauce 😋)
🔥 Optional Add-Ons
Want to elevate it even more?
Add carrots and potatoes for a full one-pot meal
Toss in a splash of Worcestershire sauce for depth
Sprinkle fresh parsley before serving
If you want, I can turn this into a creamy version or add a Moroccan twist with spices like cumin and paprika.
